Crafting the
Next-Gen Office app

Oddo BHF’s strategic initiative, « My Notebook, » exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to adopting a Flex Office environment, blending technological innovation with a deep understanding of human-centered design. This case study delves into the analytical and creative processes that shaped « My Notebook », spotlighting its role in facilitating a smooth transition to flexible workspaces while fostering employee connectivity and collaboration.

Research & Analysis

Empathetic Research

Conducted in-depth interviews and observations to understand employee needs and apprehensions about moving to a Flex Office environment.

Defining the Solution

Leveraged brainstorming and creative techniques to ideate features that address the core needs of flexibility, collaboration, and efficiency.

Literature Reference: Drew upon Brown’s (2008) design thinking principles, emphasizing rapid prototyping and user feedback as essential to refining the solution.

Functionality Highlights

My teams: Will facilitate the interactions between the collaborators of the same team and the planning and will make it possible to gain in effectiveness, in a few clicks it will be possible to visualize if a collaborator is in teleworking or if he is present on the site, but also to validate the requests for leaves in waiting, ….

Feature Space: A tool that allows you to report problems with equipment, sanitary facilities, air conditioning, etc. …. to the department concerned, in the form of a ticket. This ensures that the rooms in the Flex Office are always operational.

Space reservation: Allows you to view the occupancy of free spaces, but also to reserve a room or an office.

Feature Parking: Makes it easy to reserve a parking space for yourself or a client. In the long term, and assuming that Oddo BHF continues to grow, this will make it possible to better manage the occupation of the car park in the event that there are more employees wishing to come by car than there are spaces available.

The deployment of « My Notebook » has significantly contributed to a smoother transition to Flex Office at Oddo BHF, with features specifically designed to meet the identified needs of employees, enhancing efficiency and fostering a sense of community.
